Colouring tutorial by LauraPaladiknight Colouring tutorial by LauraPaladiknight

I love Max!!

I started this almost half a year ago, because some people asked me to do it. ^^U But I lost the file then, so I couldn't finish. Today I found it, so I did it. :3 It's a Max drawing that I did just for this tutorial (I can't draw him very well x.x and he's my favourite!).

I think I'm not the proper one to do a colouring tutorial, but I hope you find it useful. :3

Oh, sorry for my bad explanations, I'm sooo baaad at that. x3

(Soon I'll submit the drawing itself. =3) ---> Edited: Finished drawing here [link] . :3

Tools: Lineart: pencil, paper and marker. Colouring: Photoshop CS2.

¡¡Adoro a Max!!

Ah, y siento mis malas explicaciones, se me da fatal explicar. x3

(Pronto subiré el dibujo en sí. =3) ---> Editado: Aquí está el dibujo terminado [link] . :3

Herramientas: Lineart: Lá-piz, papel y marcador. Coloreado: Photoshop CS2.

Masato/Max © Pokémon/Pocket Monsters (Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GameFreak).

I looked at this tutorial a couple weeks ago and just used what I learned for the first time, and it came out really nicely. I'm glad I can finally ditch cell-shading. Thank you. A lot. :)

Great tutorial! but I have one Q, ur lineart is by hand, but it looks digital to me?
LauraPaladiknight Featured By Owner Jul 30, 2010  Hobbyist Digital Artist
In this case, the lineart was hand-made. :meow:

Interesting. There is something that I didn't see. I saw the locked layer (Max) in the beginning but I didn't see the copy of it. Would you explain to me why didn't you mention it in the tutorial? Also do you organize your layers in folders? Please explain. Thank you.

The layer you can see in the beginning is already a copy of the locked layer. ^^; I didn't show the locked layer because I suppose everyone would have to unlock it (creating a copy and deleting the original) to put it on the top of all the other layers.

I didn't organize the layers in folders at that moment, but I do now. It's easier to work like that when you have a large amount of layers.

Hope it helps you. ^^
